Built in 1947, The two hangers at Spokane International Airport were recently demolished. Specialty Environmental abated all the asbestos from the roofing and and siding .
Dan S. had a passive radon system in place in the house. Despite this, the testing revealed that radon levels averaged over 30 pCi/L. The EPA action level target is 4.0 pCi/L or less and the levels were at 30! The installed radon mitigation system was not effectively lowering the concentration of indoor radon.
After completing the pre-testing and determining the high levels of Radon, Specialty Environmental completed a retro fit and turned the passive system into an active system by adding the proper fan to the system. The retro fit was extremely successful and post testing results reduced the radon levels to 0.6 pCi/L on average with a maximum of 1.8 pCi/L
Specialty Environmental successfully removed asbestos from tanks on the once-thriving work site. Now part of the EPA superfund cleanup, Specialty Environmental was contracted to successfully abate the site.
